Let’s Have A GREAT Start To Every Day!

There are very few people that enjoy mornings; I am totally a morning person I love the beginning of a new day, new chances, new thoughts, new tasks. I see it as a fresh start.

Having a good morning routine can help you feel less stressed more energized, more focused!

It will leave you ready to tackle the day!

The best morning routine actually starts the night before; by preparing a bit the night before it makes the mornings more organized and leaves you less stressed.

Less stress and chaos = Happiness!

The Night Before:

 

Clean Up Clutter-

It is nice to wake up to a clean house, who wants to wake up and be tripping over toys, shoes etc..?

Do Dishes-

Who wants to wake up and see last night’s dinner dishes all over the kitchen and filling the kitchen sink?? Having a clean sink makes it easier to make the coffee, wash hands, clean fruits and veggies for lunches it also makes the kitchen just feel cleaner.

Pack Lunches-

Get the lunches packed and set them in the refrigerator to just grab and go.

Set Up, Coffee Maker-

The hardest part of having coffee in the morning is trying to make it before you have had any.

Pack Book Bags, Work Bags Etc.-

Get those bags packed, gather everything you need to leave the house right by the door. Make sure everyone has 2 shoes and that you know where your keys are!

Pick Out Clothes-

This has been the biggest time saver for me and my kids. It ends the battles of “I don’t want to wear that” or the “I don’t know what to wear”.

Write A To-Do List/Check Your Planner/Calendar-

Write your to-do list for the following day.  Check your planner or calendar to make sure there are no surprise appointments or activities. Just knowing what you have to do the night before helps you mentally prepare for achieving those tasks.

Get to bed early-

Even if it a half hour earlier, a few minutes of extra sleep can go a long way. You will wake up feeling more refreshed and energized.

Morning:

 

Get up earlier-

Set your alarm for even 15 min earlier, get a good jump on the day. Stop pressing snooze, get up and get your day going.

Open Shades & Windows-

Let in the light and if it’s nice out open windows.  The light and fresh air will help you wake up naturally, it will help set your bodies natural wake time.

Stretch-

Stretching right when you get out bed, helps to get your muscles and joints ready for the day.

Drink A Glass Of Water-

Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! This helps get a jump start on reaching your water intake for the day.

Exercise/ Yoga-

Taking even 15min a day to exercise or do some Yoga can get your day started off on the right foot, it will make you feel refreshed and more energized. I also like to get it done first thing in the morning then I don’t have to think about it again

Shower & Get Ready-

Shower, get dressed, do your normal routine. This even applies to people who work from home or stay at home Moms, be ready for the day, if you look good you feel good.

Make Your Bed-

The act of making your bed makes your room feel cleaner, gives you a feeling of accomplishment, lets your body know its time to get up and bed time is over. It is also more than awesome to climb into a made bed after a long day!

Have Your Coffee/Tea-

Look at all you’ve accomplished already this morning BEFORE you even had coffee! That is AHH-MAZING!

Check Your Planner/ To-Do List Again-

Now that you have a minute to sit and have a nice cup of coffee/tea, take this time to look over everything one more time; make sure you didn’t miss anything. Plan out how you will tackle all that needs to be done.
